Department: Production
Location: Remote, with a Hybrid option. Our office is based in Soho, London. All applicants must be eligible to work in the UK.
Reports To: Head of Production
The Crew Manager is the integral people manager for the site; responsible for a variety of activities ranging from overall labour spend, day to day resourcing, employee engagement, and managing and guiding artists and employees within their department. Reporting to the Head of Production, they contribute to the timely and efficient completion of shows and foster an effective working team.
Planning Crews & Recruitment
Working with the department heads to ensure teams are well balanced in terms of expertise, experience and cost.
Identifying recruitment needs utilising Recruitee to organise interviews and flag candidates to Head of Departments.
Handle crew member inductions for production workflows and pipeline.
Liaise with Producers and Supervisors to resource Projects with the best available crew as well as reallocate crew in order to troubleshoot tricky show logistics.
Monitoring & Communication
Acting as a nexus to maintain dialogues between artists and production, ensuring everyone is aware of current show projections and deliveries.
Work closely with Production to ensure artists are appropriately assigned work.
Run weekly meetings with producers to review the Resource Planning Document and address any challenges in resources.
Present Head of Production with weekly departmental reports and attend meetings to discuss lowering overheads of departments.
Motivate & care for the crew, troubleshooting issues and working with HR or other managers for the best solutions.
Liaise with HR, Production & Marketing to formulate social and team building events.
Talent Management & Development
Track career development & training with Heads of Departments to ensure artist growth that runs in tandem with NVIZ’s sales strategy
Conduct performance reviews, liaising with Heads of Departments and HR to deliver effective feedback and constructive criticism.
Work to implement tailored training schedules for the artists.
Working alongside HR to handle disciplinary issues, dismissals and pay negotiations.
