Department: Visualisation
Location: Remote - Must be in the UK
Reports To: Realtime Supervisor
• Working in collaboration with the 3D Artists to produce Realtime ready assets of the highest quality
• Supporting the team with exporting art content (environments, props, animations) from Maya into Unreal Engine
• Creating bespoke materials and shaders inside Unreal Engine
• Creating particle systems with Niagra / Cascade
• Responsible for lighting, look dev and performance profiling in UE4 as well as QC
• Implementing Blueprints and bespoke technical solutions for given shows
• Creating asset turntables through Unreal Engine as required
Job requirements
• 2+ years production experience in a VFX, visualisation or games environment
• Artistically as well as technically inclined
• Extensive experience working with Unreal Engine, including:
- Sequencer
- Blueprint scripting
- Particle systems
- Shader creation
- Editor utility widgets
- Creating UIs with UMG
- Performance profiling
• Understanding of the PBR workflow with best working practices
• Experience with a range of content creation software including Maya, Substance Designer / Painter
• Comfortable in a range of content creation software including Photoshop, ZBrush, Substance Painter
• Highly committed and able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Positive attitude towards learning and sharing
• Extremely organised with excellent attention to detail
• Able to solve problems as they arise and remain calm in high-pressure situations
• Experience with the following are desirable:
- C++ in Unreal
- Scripting skills with Python
- Source control software (e.g. Perforce, Github)
